April Floyd
Welcome to Mrs. Floyd's Kindergarten Classroom
Hi, My name is April Floyd and this is my 6th year teaching Kindergarten at Harmony Elementary. Before Kindergarten I taught Georgia Pre-K for a total of 13 years. I also worked in the school system as a long-term substitute teacher and a paraprofessional in Special Education and in First Grade. I have been working in education for a total of 27 years. I love teaching Kindergarten and working at Harmony Elementary with a great team!
I am a native of Pickens County but currently live in Cherokee County. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 6 years. After graduating from Pickens High School, I attended Shorter University for 4 years. Then I finished my Bachelor of Education at Reinhardt University. After teaching for a while, I went back to college and got my Masters's with an endorsement in Gifted Education at Kennesaw State University. I took a year off and then returned to KSU to get my Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently working on adding a leadership endorsement.
