Whitney Heath

Hi, my name is Whitney Heath, and welcome to my fourth grade math webpage.

A little about me...I have been married to Ken for 31 years, and I have one daughter named Peyton, and one fur baby named Kato. My daughter graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Biology/ Chemistry degree. She just recently got married. My fur baby, Kato, loves to play ball, frisbee, and go hiking with us. We love all things outdoors!

My family and I are current residents of Pickens County, and I have been teaching in Pickens County for the last 20 years. I have taught 2 years in Pre-K and 18 years at Harmony Elementary in first grade, third grade, and now, fourth grade. I have three bachelor degrees. I hold one degree in Business Management, and a dual degree in Early Childhood/Special Education. My Early Childhood degree comes from the University of North Georgia, and I have a Master's degree in Mathematics from Walden University. In addition, I have an endorsement in math, reading and gifted education.

My teaching goal is to change the way students think and feel about math. I want them to feel confident in their math abilities, and take chances. My goal is to provide them with the math language and skills to defend and justify their answers, and the ability to persevere in each task.

I want them to LOVE math!
